At J’s Footstools, what you see is just the beginning. While we showcase a select range of our designs, every piece can be made to order, tailored to your preferences.
Each footstool is lovingly handcrafted in our converted stable — a quiet corner of rural Scotland where tradition and creativity come together. We cut the base by hand, sand it smooth, drill the holes for the legs, and choose the perfect leg style for each design.
From there, it’s padded and covered in luxurious Harris Tweed or Lochcarron of Scotland tartan, then finished with hand-covered buttons carefully placed and secured.
The final steps include affixing the fire regulation label, sewing on the maker’s mark, and taking a moment to appreciate a job well done.
